Amy Walsh
President
JPMorgan Chase
Banker and business owner with over twenty years of experience working with aerospace, defense and government contracting companies and has been a member of WID-NESC for three years. Amy currently serves on the Board for the RI Banker Association, Regional Initiative for Business Building & Advancement, is a Commissioner for the Jamestown Housing Authority, and a Trustee for South County Health.
Erick Cushman
Vice President
Electric Boat
Erick has been at Electric Boat since January 2000, coming directly from his active duty submarine service in the Navy. In the Navy, Erick’s senior submarine tour was as the Combat Systems Officer on the USS Toledo (SSN769). Erick continued as a Navy Reservist in the submarine force for the next 17 years, as he worked in the Acoustic Engineering department, then various Program Offices at EB. Erick has been an Engineering Supervisor in several departments since 2017. Erick has been active in the EMBA for years, serving on the BoD, as the Community Activities Director, and he is the current EBMA President. He has four children, the youngest a freshman in college, and he lives in Old Lyme, CT.
Liz Burns

Electric Boat
Liz Burns is a native of St. Louis, MO and relocated to Groton, CT in the spring of 2024 to begin her career at Electric Boat as an engineer on the Welding Engineering Advanced Concepts team. Prior to joining Electric Boat, she worked for Boeing Research & Technology where she supported various metal additive manufacturing development efforts aimed at both commercial and defense aircraft applications. She also spent a few years working for an engineering consulting company where she led and contributed to failure analysis and forensic investigations for a variety of metal products. She possesses both a B.S. and a Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology, and she is a licensed Professional Engineer in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.
Liz is also a third-generation Navy Reserve officer, having received a direct commission in May 2023. She is currently enrolled in the Engineering Duty Officer (EDO) Qualification Program and was recently selected to serve as a member of the Reserve EDO Junior Officer Advisory Panel. In her free time, Liz enjoys reading non-fiction, watching documentaries, and competing in endurance-challenging physical fitness events.
